What are your Cancellation and Refund Policies? Does my trip include Travel Protection?

Please see our Cancellation and Refund Policy for more information.

No, travel insurance is not included in our Mother's Day Weekend Getaway. When registering for and booking this trip, each traveler must indicate whether or not they wish to purchase travel insurance. Your initial deposit must include the full cost of coverage.

 Do I need to take a COVID test before arriving in Punta Cana and returning to the United States?

The Dominican Republic has lifted its COVID entry travel restrictions as of April 22, 2022, no longer requiring US passport holders to arrive with a negative COVID test.

However, the US continues to require a negative COVID test within 72 hours of your return flight. This is required of ALL air passengers, including those with US passports.

 Is it safe to travel to the Dominican Republic during a pandemic? 

Safety protocols, procedures, and some travel restrictions are currently in place under Dominican law to ensure the safety of both nationals and tourists during this time. Tourists are still encouraged to wear facemasks and practice social distancing in public places. Please see the link below to learn more about how the Dominican Republic is dealing with COVID-19 and the current global pandemic in terms of travel.

What happens if my roommate cancels and I still want to travel?

If your roommate cancels and you stay on the reservation, it will be converted to single occupancy and you will be invoiced at the new rate.

If your roommate cancels after you have paid in full or after the entire booking has been paid in full, you will be held responsible for any additional costs. Because there will only be one person in the room, your reservation must be changed to single occupancy. This is because your reservation was initially booked at double occupancy, which resulted in a lower room cost.

Do I REALLY need to purchase Travel Protection?

Yes, according to our observations. While it is not required for our Mother's Day Weekend Getaway, we strongly advise you to purchase travel insurance for your trip regardless of whether it is purchased through us. As we like to say, having travel insurance and not needing it is preferable to needing travel insurance and not having it. Please keep this in mind when registering for our event. 

Are flights included?

Only AIR INCLUSIVE travel packages include flights. Flights leave Philadelphia (PHL). You must specify your preferred travel package during the booking process.

Do I need to exchange my currency?

While the Dominican Peso is the official currency, US dollars are widely accepted. So exchanging is not strictly necessary, though many will do so because they believe the Dominican Peso stretches further. If you are not going to exchange currency, we recommend that you only carry small bills. Nothing larger than a $20 bill, and always keep $1 and $5 bills on hand for tipping. Do you offer Roommate Placement?

We do not, unfortunately, at the moment. However, this can change at any time, especially if you find yourself in need of a roommate. If this is the case, please email us here and let us know if you would like Roommate Placement Assistance in the future!

First and foremost, thank you for joining us! Unfortunately, we no longer host meet and greets prior to departure. However, there will be a really funDominican themed Zoom Party the week before our trip! We chose a Zoom party over a live event because we know you'll be super busy organizing the family's to-do list while you're away. So keep an eye out!

What is the age range of your company’s Travel Events?

Our itineraries attract and are carefully designed for women in their forties and fifties who want to travel, reconnect with life, spread love, and good vibes, and live on purpose. These women are professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, and friends, as well as trendsetters and innovators. Most travel events cater to women between the ages of 40 and 55, but women in their 30s and 60s have joined us!

What is the trip pace of your company’s travel events?

Our travel events are leisurely, calm with an off beaten path experiences calm. Depending on the itinerary, you'll notice that each itinerary has its own theme and pace. Our Mother's Day Weekend Getaway has been planned to include cultural experiences, entertainment, soul-care, retail therapy, and water activities. In essence, our Mother's Day Weekend Getaway is a leisurely getaway.

Is there someone from The Globe Trotting Divas, LLC who will be with the group for the entire trip?

Absolutely! At our host hotel or resort, our owner, Anitra, or one of our friendly and knowledgeable Travel Events Hosts will always greet you. We'll arrive a day or two ahead of the rest of the group to prepare for our planned events with you.
